๐ข 1. COMPANY INFORMATION
This Trading Risk & Performance Disclosure applies to trading-related software, Expert Advisors (โEAsโ), indicators and related digital Products supplied through AlgoVecter.
AlgoVecter is operated by DRT CIRCLE (PTY) LTD, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa.
In this Disclosure:
โAlgoVecter,โ โwe,โ โus,โ and โourโ refer to DRT CIRCLE (PTY) LTD trading through the AlgoVecter brand.
โProductโ includes an AlgoVecter EA, indicator, trading utility, analytical tool, preset, configuration file or other trading-related software.
๐จ 2. IMPORTANT RISK WARNING
Trading financial instruments involves significant risk.
This may include trading in:
foreign exchange (โForexโ);
precious metals such as gold;
cryptocurrencies;
indices;
commodities;
contracts for difference (โCFDsโ);
futures;
derivatives; and
other leveraged or non-leveraged financial instruments.
Losses may occur.
Depending on the financial instrument, broker, account structure, leverage and applicable trading rules, losses may be substantial.
You should understand the relevant financial instrument and trading environment before using automated or manual trading software.
๐ซ 3. NO PROFIT GUARANTEE
AlgoVecter does not guarantee profits, positive returns, account growth, trading success, recovery of capital, passing a proprietary trading evaluation or any particular financial result.
No AlgoVecter Product should be interpreted as providing a guarantee that:
a trade will be successful;
an account will increase in value;
losses will be avoided;
a particular return will be achieved;
a trading strategy will continue to behave as it has historically;
a prop-firm evaluation will be passed;
a funded account will be retained; or
a particular trading outcome will occur.
Every trading environment can produce different results.
๐ค 4. EXPERT ADVISOR (โEAโ) RISK
An Expert Advisor is software designed to perform specified trading or trade-management functions according to programmed rules.
Use of an EA involves risks including:
software errors;
incorrect configuration;
inappropriate parameter selection;
changing market conditions;
unexpected volatility;
broker execution differences;
spread changes;
slippage;
gaps;
rejected orders;
execution delays;
data-feed differences;
VPS interruptions;
internet interruptions;
trading-terminal failures;
third-party platform updates; and
user intervention.
An EA may behave differently in different market conditions, accounts, brokers, trading platforms and technical environments.
๐ง 5. AUTOMATED TRADING DOES NOT REMOVE RISK
Automating a trading strategy does not make trading risk-free.
Automation may execute instructions more consistently or rapidly than manual trading, but it can also repeatedly execute programmed logic when market conditions are unfavourable.
Customers should understand:
the Product settings;
lot-size or position-size settings;
risk parameters;
Stop Loss functionality;
Take Profit functionality;
trade frequency;
maximum open positions;
account requirements; and
strategy characteristics
before enabling an EA.
๐ 6. INDICATOR RISK
AlgoVecter indicators may display technical information derived from:
historical prices;
price movements;
volatility;
volume;
trends;
mathematical calculations;
technical conditions; or
other market information.
An indicator may:
produce false signals;
produce delayed signals;
change as new data becomes available;
perform differently in different market conditions;
react differently across timeframes or instruments; or
provide information that does not correspond with subsequent market movement.
An indicator is a software tool and should not be interpreted as determining with certainty what a market will do next.
๐ฏ 7. SIGNALS GENERATED BY SOFTWARE
Where an AlgoVecter Product displays or generates a technical trading condition, alert or signal, that output is produced according to the software's programmed logic.
Such output does not establish that a trade should be entered by a particular person.
Customers remain responsible for determining how they use the Product and whether any resulting action is appropriate for their circumstances.
Unless expressly stated and lawfully provided under an applicable regulatory authorisation, AlgoVecter Products are not intended to constitute personalised investment or financial advice.
๐ธ๏ธ 8. GRID STRATEGY RISK
Certain AlgoVecter Products may use or support a grid strategy.
A grid strategy may involve opening multiple positions at different price levels instead of relying upon a single entry.
Grid-based approaches may create specific risks.
These may include:
multiple simultaneous positions;
increasing aggregate exposure;
extended periods of floating loss;
increased margin usage;
exposure during sustained directional markets;
clustered orders;
increased transaction costs;
increased exposure during volatility; and
rapid drawdown if market movement continues against open positions.
Customers should understand whether a Product uses a grid strategy before activating it.
โ ๏ธ 9. GRID STRATEGIES & POSITION ACCUMULATION
A grid strategy may continue opening or maintaining multiple positions while earlier positions remain open.
As the number or size of positions increases:
total market exposure may increase;
required margin may increase;
available free margin may decrease;
floating losses may increase;
sensitivity to market movement may increase; and
liquidation or Stop Out risk may increase.
A grid strategy should not be interpreted as having eliminated the possibility of loss merely because positions are spread across multiple price levels.
๐ 10. LOT SIZE & POSITION SIZING
Position size can materially affect trading risk.
Increasing lot size generally increases the monetary impact of market movement.
Customers are responsible for reviewing and understanding any:
fixed lot-size setting;
automatic lot-size calculation;
balance-based position sizing;
equity-based position sizing;
risk percentage setting; or
other exposure control
made available by a Product.
Using settings that create greater market exposure can increase potential losses.
โก 11. LEVERAGE RISK
Leverage allows a trader to obtain market exposure greater than the amount of margin deposited for the position.
Leverage can significantly magnify the effect of price movements.
A relatively small market movement may therefore produce a significant change in:
account equity;
available margin;
floating profit or loss; and
the ability to maintain open positions.
Higher leverage does not remove trading risk.
๐ฅ 12. MARGIN & STOP-OUT RISK
Leveraged trading normally requires sufficient margin to maintain open positions.
If account equity or available margin falls below thresholds established by a broker or trading provider, positions may be:
restricted;
automatically closed;
partially liquidated; or
otherwise affected by the broker's rules.
AlgoVecter does not control broker margin or liquidation systems.
Customers should understand their broker's:
margin requirements;
margin-call procedures;
Stop Out levels;
leverage limits; and
liquidation rules.
๐ 13. DRAWDOWN
โDrawdownโ generally refers to a decline in account value or equity from an earlier level or peak.
Drawdown may be measured differently depending on the platform or reporting service.
Examples include:
balance drawdown;
equity drawdown;
absolute drawdown;
relative drawdown; and
maximum drawdown.
Customers should not assume that one drawdown figure is directly comparable with another unless the calculation methodology is the same.
โ ๏ธ 14. FLOATING DRAWDOWN
Open positions may create floating or unrealised drawdown.
This may not immediately appear as a realised loss in account balance but may still materially reduce account equity and available margin.
For strategies that maintain multiple positions, including certain grid strategies, floating drawdown may be materially different from balance-based drawdown.
๐งฎ 15. DRAWDOWN CAN CHANGE RAPIDLY
Historical drawdown does not establish a maximum possible future drawdown.
Market conditions can change.
A strategy that previously experienced a particular level of drawdown may experience a different level under:
increased volatility;
price gaps;
sustained market trends;
widening spreads;
reduced liquidity;
execution delays;
changed parameters; or
different broker conditions.
โ 16. STOP LOSS RISK
Where an AlgoVecter EA uses a Stop Loss, the Stop Loss is designed to submit or maintain a trading instruction according to the Product's logic and trading platform functionality.
A Stop Loss does not guarantee execution at a particular price.
Execution may differ because of:
price gaps;
slippage;
market liquidity;
broker execution rules;
trading halts;
extreme volatility;
connection failures; or
technical interruptions.
๐ฏ 17. TAKE PROFIT RISK
Where a Product uses a fixed or dynamic Take Profit mechanism, the Take Profit forms part of the programmed trade-management logic.
There is no assurance that:
price will reach the Take Profit;
an order will execute at an exact displayed price;
a dynamic target will behave identically in all market conditions; or
a position will close without slippage or technical interruption.
๐ก 18. BROKER EXECUTION RISK
Trading results may vary between brokers.
Differences may arise from:
spreads;
commissions;
swaps;
liquidity;
price feeds;
execution models;
server location;
execution speed;
slippage;
Stop Level restrictions;
trading hours;
contract specifications; and
broker-specific rules.
A Product operating in one broker environment may therefore behave differently in another.
๐ 19. INTERNET & VPS RISK
Automated trading may depend on uninterrupted access to:
electricity;
a computer or VPS;
the internet;
the broker's server;
the trading platform; and
the Product's required infrastructure.
Interruptions may result in:
missed trades;
delayed execution;
failure to modify an order;
inability to close a position;
licence-verification issues; or
temporary interruption of automated trading.
๐ฆ 20. PROPRIETARY TRADING FIRM RISK
Use of an AlgoVecter Product with a proprietary trading firm (โprop firmโ) is subject to that firm's own rules.
Rules may address:
Expert Advisors;
automated trading;
maximum daily loss;
maximum overall loss;
prohibited strategies;
news trading;
holding periods;
weekend trading;
copy trading;
multiple accounts;
consistency requirements;
position size; and
other trading behaviour.
A prop firm can change its rules independently of AlgoVecter.
AlgoVecter cannot determine or control whether a prop firm will accept particular trading activity.
โ 21. NO PROP-FIRM OUTCOME ASSURANCE
A statement that an AlgoVecter Product is designed for use with certain prop-firm environments does not mean that:
every prop firm permits it;
every account will satisfy prop-firm rules;
an evaluation will be completed successfully;
a funded account will be obtained;
a funded account will remain active; or
a payout or other outcome will occur.
Customers must independently review current prop-firm rules.
๐งช 22. BACKTESTING DISCLOSURE
A backtest generally applies a strategy or software rules to historical market information.
Backtesting does not represent actual live-market execution unless clearly identified otherwise.
Backtest results may depend heavily upon:
historical data quality;
modelling method;
spread assumptions;
commissions;
slippage assumptions;
tick data;
broker data;
execution assumptions;
chosen date range;
Product settings;
initial account balance; and
optimisation methodology.
Historical simulation cannot recreate every condition that may arise during live trading.
๐ฌ 23. LIMITATIONS OF HYPOTHETICAL RESULTS
Hypothetical or simulated trading results have inherent limitations.
Unlike live trading, simulated transactions have not necessarily been executed in actual market conditions.
Simulation may therefore fail to fully reflect factors including:
liquidity constraints;
execution delays;
slippage;
order rejection;
human intervention;
emotional decision-making;
actual broker conditions;
real-time infrastructure failures; and
the ability of an account holder to continue operating during periods of loss.
Where required by applicable law, AlgoVecter should display any legally prescribed hypothetical-performance disclosure prominently alongside the relevant results.
๐ง 24. HINDSIGHT & OPTIMISATION RISK
Historical strategy development can be affected by hindsight.
Settings may be selected or optimised based upon historical data that was already known at the time of testing.
This creates a risk known as overfitting or curve fitting, where a strategy responds particularly well to the historical dataset used during development but behaves differently when exposed to new data.
Backtesting should therefore not be interpreted as a prediction of future results.
๐ฅ๏ธ 25. DEMO ACCOUNT RESULTS
Results described as Demo, Demonstration, Paper Trading, Simulated, or similar do not represent trading with actual customer capital.
Demo environments may differ from live trading in areas including:
execution;
latency;
liquidity;
slippage;
spreads;
order filling;
pricing; and
broker conditions.
Demo results must not be represented as live results.
๐ด 26. LIVE RESULTS
Where AlgoVecter displays results described as Live, those results should relate to an actual live trading account rather than a simulated or demo account.
However, live historical results remain historical information.
They do not establish what will occur:
on another account;
with another broker;
with another starting balance;
at another level of leverage;
with different settings;
during another market period; or
in the future.
๐ 27. VERIFICATION OF LIVE RESULTS
Where AlgoVecter uses a third-party performance-tracking or verification service, customers should review the methodology and limitations of that service.
A verification platform may not independently verify every aspect of:
account ownership;
deposits and withdrawals;
trading methodology;
broker execution;
external hedging;
account configuration; or
Product settings.
AlgoVecter should not describe a result as independently verified unless there is a reasonable basis for that description.
๐ฐ 28. DEPOSITS & WITHDRAWALS
Deposits and withdrawals can affect the appearance of account performance statistics.
For this reason, customers should distinguish between:
account balance;
account equity;
net deposits;
net withdrawals;
realised trading results; and
percentage-return calculations.
AlgoVecter should not present deposits as trading gains.
๐ 29. PERFORMANCE PERCENTAGES
Any percentage displayed in connection with historical Product performance should be considered together with:
the applicable period;
starting balance;
deposits;
withdrawals;
leverage;
drawdown;
Product settings;
broker;
costs; and
whether the results are live, demo or simulated.
A percentage alone does not provide a complete description of trading risk.
๐ธ 30. TRADING COSTS
Actual trading may involve costs including:
spreads;
broker commissions;
swaps;
financing;
exchange costs;
data charges;
VPS charges; and
other account-specific expenses.
Trading costs can materially affect actual results.
Backtests or demonstrations should disclose whether relevant transaction costs have been incorporated where reasonably practicable.
๐ 31. TIME PERIODS MATTER
Performance observed during one period may differ substantially from another period.
For example, a Product may experience different conditions during:
trending markets;
ranging markets;
high-volatility markets;
low-volatility markets;
economic announcements;
market openings;
holidays; or
periods of reduced liquidity.
A limited historical period should not be interpreted as representing every possible market environment.
๐ 32. PAST PERFORMANCE
Past performance is historical information only.
Results previously achieved by:
an AlgoVecter Product;
a demonstration account;
a live account;
a test environment;
AlgoVecter;
another customer; or
a third party
do not determine future results.
The CFTC similarly advises that past performance is not a predictor of future results and requires clear identification of hypothetical or simulated performance in regulated contexts.
๐ฅ 33. CUSTOMER RESULTS & TESTIMONIALS
If AlgoVecter publishes a customer's:
screenshot;
testimonial;
trading statement;
review;
account result; or
performance example,
that material reflects the particular circumstances associated with that customer or account.
Individual experiences can differ substantially.
Customer results should not be interpreted as typical, expected or assured results for another user.
Where compensation has been provided for a testimonial or endorsement, applicable disclosure requirements should be followed.
๐ธ 34. SCREENSHOTS
Screenshots may be used to illustrate:
Product interfaces;
technical functionality;
historical activity;
trading setups; or
individual account records.
A screenshot represents only the information visible in the screenshot and should not be assumed to describe the complete history, risk profile or future behaviour of a Product.
๐บ 35. VIDEOS & PRODUCT DEMONSTRATIONS
Videos showing an EA or indicator operating are intended to explain software functionality.
A video demonstration should not be interpreted as establishing that identical market movements, executions or account outcomes will occur when another customer uses the Product.
๐ฐ 36. ADVERTISING & PERFORMANCE PRESENTATIONS
AlgoVecter should distinguish clearly between:
๐ด LIVE
Actual live trading results.
๐ก DEMO
Trading conducted in a demonstration or simulated trading environment.
๐ต BACKTEST
Historical simulation based on historical data.
These descriptions should not be used interchangeably.
Performance material should be presented in a manner that does not misrepresent its source or nature.
Regulatory guidance in the United States, for example, requires hypothetical results to be accompanied prominently by disclosures explaining their inherent limitations.
๐งพ 37. MATERIAL INFORMATION
Where AlgoVecter publishes performance information, material contextual information should not intentionally be omitted where omission would make the presentation misleading.
Relevant context may include:
whether results are live or simulated;
date range;
account type;
leverage;
broker;
relevant Product settings;
deposits and withdrawals;
material trading costs; and
drawdown methodology.
๐ 38. NO CHERRY-PICKING MISREPRESENTATION
AlgoVecter should not intentionally present selected performance information in a manner that creates a materially misleading impression about the Product's historical operation.
Individual winning trades, selected periods or favourable screenshots should not be presented as though they establish the complete performance history of a Product where that would be misleading.
๐ 39. PRODUCT SETTINGS MAY DIFFER
Historical results may have been generated using particular Product settings.
Different settings can produce materially different behaviour.
Customers should therefore not assume that:
default settings;
customised settings;
higher lot sizes;
lower lot sizes;
different timeframes;
different symbols; or
altered risk settings
will reproduce previously displayed results.
๐ 40. DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CUSTOMERS
Two customers using the same Product may obtain different executions because of differences in:
broker;
server;
country;
account type;
spreads;
commissions;
leverage;
VPS;
internet latency;
Product version;
account balance;
settings; and
timing.
Accordingly, results from one account should not be treated as the expected result for another account.
๐ซ 41. NO ASSURANCE FROM RISK CONTROLS
Features such as:
Stop Loss;
Take Profit;
trailing stops;
maximum-trade settings;
drawdown controls;
position limits;
trading-session filters;
volatility filters; and
other risk-management functionality
may help determine how a Product operates but do not eliminate the possibility of loss.
Technical failures or unusual market conditions may also affect how such controls operate.
๐ฐ 42. ECONOMIC NEWS & MARKET EVENTS
Financial markets can move rapidly around:
interest-rate decisions;
inflation releases;
employment reports;
geopolitical events;
elections;
unexpected economic announcements;
market interventions; and
other significant events.
Such conditions may result in:
widened spreads;
rapid price movement;
gaps;
order rejection;
slippage; or
reduced liquidity.
Software cannot eliminate these market risks.
โฟ 43. CRYPTOCURRENCY RISK
Where an AlgoVecter Product is used with cryptocurrency instruments, users should understand that cryptocurrency markets may involve:
significant volatility;
rapid price changes;
weekend trading;
liquidity variation;
platform risk;
exchange or broker risk; and
differing regulatory treatment.
Customers should review the characteristics of the specific instrument being traded.
๐ฅ 44. GOLD & COMMODITY RISK
Products designed for gold or other commodities remain subject to commodity-market risks.
Gold prices may react significantly to:
monetary policy;
inflation data;
interest-rate expectations;
geopolitical developments;
currency movements;
liquidity changes; and
economic announcements.
A Product being specifically designed for gold does not remove these risks.
๐ฑ 45. FOREX RISK
Foreign-exchange markets can be affected by:
central-bank policy;
interest rates;
economic announcements;
political events;
liquidity conditions;
currency intervention; and
market sentiment.
Currency pairs may move rapidly and unpredictably.
โ๏ธ 46. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
Before using an AlgoVecter Product, customers are responsible for determining whether they understand:
the Product;
trading risks;
the financial instrument;
account leverage;
Product settings;
position sizing;
broker conditions; and
relevant third-party rules.
Customers remain responsible for their trading accounts and for decisions concerning whether and how AlgoVecter software is deployed.
๐งช 47. TESTING BEFORE LIVE USE
Customers should familiarise themselves with Product functionality before deciding whether to deploy software in a live trading environment.
A demonstration environment may help users understand Product operation, but demo behaviour can differ from live execution.
Testing cannot eliminate future trading risk.
๐ 48. MONITORING AUTOMATED SOFTWARE
Automated software should not be assumed to require no supervision.
Customers should reasonably monitor:
account activity;
software status;
connection status;
Product settings;
broker connection;
available margin; and
relevant platform notifications.
๐ 49. READ PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION
Customers should read applicable:
Product descriptions;
installation guides;
Product manuals;
licence terms;
risk disclosures;
configuration guidance; and
broker requirements
before deploying a Product.
๐งโโ๏ธ 50. FINANCIAL ADVICE
AlgoVecter primarily supplies trading-related software and technical tools.
Nothing in general Product documentation, historical performance information or demonstrations should be interpreted as personalised financial advice unless such service is expressly offered under an applicable legal authorisation.
South Africa's Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act regulates the rendering of certain financial advisory and intermediary services.
Customers who require personalised financial advice should consider obtaining advice from an appropriately authorised professional in their jurisdiction.
๐ 51. INTERNATIONAL USERS
AlgoVecter Products may be available internationally.
Trading, derivatives, leverage, CFDs, cryptocurrencies and automated trading are regulated differently across jurisdictions.
Customers are responsible for determining whether:
the Product;
relevant financial instrument;
trading platform; and
intended use
are permitted in their country or region.
โ๏ธ 52. MANDATORY LOCAL LAW
Nothing in this Disclosure is intended to remove a right, protection or disclosure requirement that applicable law does not permit to be waived.
Where local legislation imposes additional risk warnings or performance-disclosure requirements, AlgoVecter should apply those requirements where they legally apply.
๐ก๏ธ 53. LIMITATION OF THIS DISCLOSURE
No written risk disclosure can identify every risk associated with:
financial markets;
automated trading;
third-party brokers;
trading platforms;
internet systems;
software;
leverage; or
individual trading circumstances.
Customers should not regard this document as an exhaustive description of every possible risk.
